Reflective practice strategies of pre-service English teachers during teaching practicum to promote professional development

Reflective practice in pre-service language teacher education is required as a tool to critically evaluate the link between theory and well explore beliefs practices of English teachers during teaching practicum programs. This study was aimed strategies reflective used by their promote professional development. A case adopted research design journals were employed collect data. The participants involved six who had joined at schools for three months. thematic analysis analysing data from journals. results revealed that identified: recollection, reflection-in-action, mentoring process. In each strategy, reflected differently based on learning experiences they had, situation faced, ability make decisions, possessed. Through these strategies, learned how develop own theories teaching, various links practice, level thinking, problem solving, decision making.
